Tires are the point of contact between your vehicle and the road beneath it. As such, a good set of tires keeps you safe, ensures proper handling, and helps your vehicle run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Over time, your tires will succumb to general wear and tear, making it crucial for you to have them replaced. As you consider the need for new tires, keep these warning signs in mind.

Does Your Vehicle Need New Tires?

Your tires are bald.

Without tread on your tires, your vehicle is an accident waiting to happen. Tread is crucial for turning, braking, and more. The bottom line: If your tires have become bald, you need to have them replaced urgently.

You’ve noticed your vehicle shaking.

It’s perfectly normal for your vehicle to shudder as you go over rocky or uneven terrain. This can happen even with a brand-new set of tires. If your vehicle shakes all the time, however, that’s a good indicator that your tires are going out.

You’ve been driving on a spare tire.

It’s smart to have a spare tire handy, allowing you to get back on the road following a flat. Spare tires are meant as short-term solutions, though, not lasting fixes. If you’re driving on a spare, make an appointment to have a more robust tire put on.

Your tire wear is uneven.

One of the most important steps in routine vehicle maintenance is having your tires rotated. This prevents against uneven levels of wear. If you do have uneven wear on your tires, that’s something to address at our tire center.

Your tires are visibly damaged.

Do you see gouges or cracks in your sidewalls? If so, then your tires may have had their integrity compromised. It’s probably a good idea to have them replaced sooner rather than later.
